At 89 years old, Elizabeth Baptist Church embraces their community with five campuses in Georgia and more than 4000 weekly attendees. Located in Atlanta, Fairburn, Smyrna, Douglasville, and Coyers, the church is focused on lovingly leading lost individuals into a relationship with Jesus Christ and developing mature believers.
Communications Director Robert Maxwell says, “When we say lovingly lead the lost, the whole concept first and foremost, is being a church of love. So we provide a loving atmosphere and environment. Everyone’s going to have that mindset of inviting you into our experience.”
Part of the mission to love the lost includes tailoring messages to different age groups to ensure everyone is able to understand the Gospel. “We’re going to provide you with teaching on every platform. You can bring kids to our services. They’re going to receive instruction on their level. If you come into the adult services, you’re going to receive instruction. Everything that we do is going to be Christ-centered and Christ-focused. So we are constantly pointing people to the cross of Christ,” Robert adds.
With multiple mission trips and several ministries, including the Taste of Grace food truck they use to feed the homeless and Soles for Souls to provide shoes to those in need, plus regular events and small groups, Elizabeth Baptist needed an all-in-one ministry solution that allowed them to keep track of all of the things going on within the church as well as connect and communicate effectively with their members and visitors on a regular basis.
Lily Oliver, Database Administrator, says that Elizabeth Baptist’s Assimilation Department is dedicated to lovingly leading new believers from the minute they walk into the church until they join and are passed on to the Life Groups department for continued follow up and connection.
“We’ve been using Realm Pathways in an amazing way because it lets us track where each individual is within the life of the church and their spiritual journey, which also helps us fulfill our mission,” Lily says.
Switching from Access ACS and People Suite to Realm has made a huge difference in the efficiency of the church, according to Cardell Oliver. Cardell says “Realm gives us a platform that we can use more so than Access ACS. It’s more user friendly, and there are a lot more people engaged with Realm and using it to connect with groups and register for events.”
Robert adds “It’s increasing our efficiency, and we’re communicating more effectively internally, and it allows us to expand that to our outward initiatives. One particular initiative we have is Financial Peace University. That involves internal and external attendees. We have to have seamless communication internally so that we can expand that and navigate communicating with the community as well. I think it’s a win for us.”
Although they’ve only been using Realm for a few months, Elizabeth Baptist is excited for the ways Realm will continue to help them improve efficiency and communication throughout their ministries as they strive to lovingly lead the lost to Christ.
