It’s that celebratory time of year! Parents are sharing memories on Facebook about their soon-to-be graduate as a toddler. They’re gleefully, and maybe tearfully. Posting images of caps, gowns and announcements that will mark the completion of an academic journey. The launching of a new life chapter into adulthood. Just as you welcomed home and prayed for your tiny infant to have a desire to serve the Lord all the days of his/her life, we’ve gathered 15 best graduation Bible verses for encouraging new graduates in their next steps.
We are presented with an occasion to remind our graduates how incredibly important it is to live out our faith in every interval of our lives, to remind ourselves that our faith will see us through every juncture. As you are reading over these and other scriptures for graduates, go ahead and write them down for future card greetings and event comments for friends’ social media posts. After all, these are Bible verses for graduates to tuck into their hearts, write on their mirrors and share with others.
Congratulations!

Graduation day is a time-honored tradition that holds immense importance in the lives of students and their families. What better inspiration to share than the timeless Word of God in the form of encouraging graduation Bible verses? And including their names in the Scripture? Take the letter “T” from above and insert your graduate’s name into Isaiah 40:8. “Let not Jeanie forget that even though the grass withers and the flower fades, that the Word of God will stand forever.” There is such truth, personalized encouragement, and hope in that! Author Jodie Berndt shares, “How can we pray God’s best for the ones who leave our homes—but never our hearts? The things you give to God in prayer—your worries, concerns, and needs—are the ties that bind your heart to his.”
