Clemson Presbyterian Church, situated at the edge of Clemson University, has been given a unique opportunity to serve both the university community and their community at large. The church’s story is a reflection of who they are today – their origins, their demographic, their ministry, and their vision for the future. Founded nearly 30 years ago by university students and community members alike, Clemson Presbyterian has always had a strong relationship with the local university students.
Since their beginnings, the church has been dedicated to fulfilling their vision: “To impact the community and the world by making disciples of countless university students and community members who are transformed by the Gospel and are serving others.”
But they’re not merely reaching out to the college community in which God has placed them. They’re developing lifelong relationships with the thousands of college students who are looking for a church home. Many students view their college years as a time to simply attend a church and then move on, but Clemson Presbyterian encourages students to become a part of their church family. They want to connect with them, engage with them, and build them up as disciples.
To do this, Clemson Presbyterian realized their staff and members needed a tool to truly connect their whole church all the time. Enter Realm. Now, not only are they able to track attendance, they’re able to put college students and visitors into customized pathways so they know exactly when and how to follow-up and keep everyone connected and engaged. And since they’re in a college town, summertime can be pretty quiet. Realm keeps their staff and congregation connected year-round, even when students are back home for the summer.
