This week we’re introducing you to Jenna. She is a Territory Account Manager in our Sales Department. She began working at ACS Technologies earlier this year.
Jenna has lived in Florence since she was 8 months old. She was born in Orangeburg, SC where her Dad was stationed with the railroad. Her top personal goals in life are to reflect Jesus in all that she does, be the best mother to her son, and to always be kind. In her free time she enjoys playing the guitar and cutting grass. She taught herself how to play guitar in the 3rd grade and wrote her first song in the 4th. Guitar is her outlet from all of the craziness in the world. If she could live anywhere it would be Holden Beach, a secluded, non-commercialized beach in North Carolina.
Let’s check out her typical workday, why she loves working at ACST, and her driving passion for the Church.
What does a typical day look like at ACST for you?
I connect with churches to learn about their ministry: what are their goals, how do they feel God is calling them to grow, what challenges are they having?
What do you love most about working at ACST?
Hands down: the culture. I’ve never worked for an organization that truly focuses on creating a healthy environment. I have only been here for 7 months and came right when COVID caused everyone to transition to work from home. I not only feel like I have support in place for my professional growth as a team member, but I also feel like part of the ACST family, even though I was only on-site for 3 weeks. It’s true what they say, that the attitude of the environment is reflective of the leadership in place.
What is your driving passion for the Church?
I am very blessed to have grown up in a home where Christ was the center. I understood at a very young age what a relationship with Christ meant. It truly has shaped my entire life. There hasn’t been a moment where I ever felt alone because I have Jesus. I also attended a local Christian school for 8 years where my mother was a teacher and the Athletic Director, my brother and I attended and were part of the missions team, and my father coached many sports and was on the board, so I have a unique perspective of the effort and work it takes within faith-based organizations. I’ve always wanted to find a way to serve Christ with my profession but I just never felt like I fit in a traditional role within the Church. This job is the perfect blend; I get to serve churches and work with people to further the kingdom and I love it!
