This week we want to introduce you to Joe.
He is a Sales Manager.
Born in Würzburg, Germany, Joe Gainey grew up in Hartsville, S.C. He studied Marketing at Francis Marion University. When Joe’s not working, his ideal day off is sitting outside with family, either around a campfire or watching a game on television – complete with his travel trailer at Lakewood Campground in Myrtle Beach.
During the initial months of the pandemic, Joe took up a new hobby: “I am not sure this makes me, me. … I taught myself to make cakes. Since we couldn’t have big family celebrations, it was my way of making them memorable. My favorite was probably my Milk and Cookies Cake.”
Joe also takes Philippians 4:13 (I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.) to the extreme. “I have taught myself to roof a house, run electrical wiring, repair small engines, smoke meat, and bake cakes in the past few years. I love to learn!”

Describe a typical day at ACST for you?
HA! There are no “typical days” for me. I may be meeting with my sales team, developing training, helping with Salesforce improvements, talking to Ministry Partners. There is so much to do. The only thing typical about my day is it is always a full day!
Tell us what you love most about working at ACST?
I l love our Mission. In the Sales Department, our mantra is Kingdom Driven. Knowing the importance and impact of the work that God has entrusted to us is humbling. What we do every day can make an impact in growing the Kingdom. How could you not love that?
What is your driving passion for the Church?
In the past, I have served in various Sports Ministries, like Upward, working with youth to share Christ’s Teachings. When I was a kid, church was something everyone just did. That isn’t true anymore. We have to find different ways to reach kids now.
